ICEX Spain Export and Investment is a public business entity, which aims to promote the international projection of Spanish companies to increase their competitiveness and add value to the economy as a whole.

This entity has created the ICEX Next Programme, which is aimed at Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that wish to internationalise their business, increasing their foreign turnover and improving their global competitiveness.

The objective of this call is to promote the beginning or consolidation of the international growth of Spanish SMEs that have a competitive project, through advice and financing of export operations. To this end, it offers specialized advice from expert consultants for the development and improvement of their foreign strategy and international competitiveness. In addition, it subsidizes the expenses derived from the design and implementation of the international strategy to be followed by the company, as well as those of hiring personnel for the international headquarters.

ICEX Next is regulated by the Ministerial Order of October 17, 2019, which establishes the basis for the grant of the subsidy offered by this program. It indicates that seven successive selection procedures will be carried out and published on the ICEX website, each with a maximum amount allocated and a deadline for submitting applications for the corresponding subsidies.
