Celaya, Mexico , Nov. 25 ( Yonhap) - POSCO MPPC ended on Monday ( local time), the construction of its third plant processing steel sheets .

The third floor of 54,300 square meters, is located in the city of Celaya , Guanajuato, and has an annual production capacity of 110,000 tonnes.

At the ceremony commemorating the completion of construction , took part about 120 people, including government officials Guanajuato.

MPPC POSCO President , Kim Gwang -bok , said at the ceremony : " Thanks to favorable logistics and high quality of its products , the third floor will offer various services and steel products to customers , which will help to increase sales. "

The third floor is close to the soles of the major automotive manufacturers in the world , such as Mazda , Honda and GM, and is also very near the plants Electronics Samsung Electronics , in Queretaro.

Since the steel sheets Celaya plant are higher quality compared to other processing centers , may be used not only for cars but also for appliances.

Mexico is an important market for steel products for automobiles in North America. The American country produced a total of 2,840,000 units of cars in 2013 and aims to produce 3,600,000 units in 2015.
