Copenhagen, Oct. 21 ( Yonhap) - South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong -won, promised , on Monday , sources from his offcie said that improve green growth vision of their country by creating innovative business opportunities as part of global efforts to sustainable development .

"The new government (South Korea), which was launched this year, aims to bring the green growth paradigm to a higher level . We 're going to achieve sustainable growth through the vision of the creative economy creating new markets and jobs through innovation and integration, " Chung said in his opening address to the third Global Green Growth Forum held in the Danish capital. The prime minister is on an eight-day trip to Denmark and Finland since Saturday.

The president, Park Geun - hye, presented his vision of the so-called creative economy, which is creating innovative business opportunities and more jobs through the merger of information technology, culture and other industries.

The two- day forum, organized by the Danish government , in collaboration with the governments of China , Kenya , South Korea , Mexico and Qatar , brought together about 250 officials from 14 countries and dozens of companies and organizations, which discuss how to improve efficiency in the use of resources such as energy , water and food , in order to promote green growth , according to its organizers .

The prime minister said he believed that the vision of the creative economy would make a great contribution to the discovery of alternative energy sources and the development of new technologies that will lead to an innovative boost energy efficiency.

As for the ways for South Korea achieve sustainable development, Chung presented a breakthrough in technology that separates carbon from exhaust emissions and also plans to establish new generation grids to optimize the consumption and production of energy resources, among others.

Stressing the importance of intergovernmental cooperation in green growth to the environment, continued efforts promised South Korea " to design green growth policies practices and business models that help developing countries achieve sustainable growth.
