Namyangju , South Korea , Oct. 7 ( Yonhap ) - An international slow food festival in South Korea concluded his six-day event , providing more than 500,000 visitors a chance to experience organic food around the world , said Monday event organizers .

Taste ASIO ASIO 2013 in Namyangju , east of Seoul , closed the curtain of their programs a week on Sunday , after showing hundreds of slow food worldwide and especially the culinary riches of the Asia and Oceania . ASIO is an acronym for Asia and Oceania , and " Gusto" mean in Italian flavor .

A total of 533,000 people visited the festival which included international conferences, workshops and various tasting events , according to the Cultural Center of the Slow Food Namyangju the municipal government and the International Slow Food (Slow Food International ) .

The three main halls - differentiated by subject and country - nearly 1,200 food offered from 76 countries that are no longer common , and traditional food from 43 countries of this region.

Visitors were able to sample different types of food and beverage stalls occupied 40 meters long " global street food " .
