SEOUL, Sept. 9 (Yonhap) - A group of South Korean lawmakers said Monday that this week established an association dedicated to improving the human rights situation in North Korea and preparing for a possible reunification between the two Koreas .

The association, whose inauguration is scheduled for Tuesday, will focus on activities to improve the condition of human rights in the communist country, while review measures for early parliamentary approval of a bill on human rights in North Korea South Korea said.

The studies on how to integrate disparate legal and governmental systems of the two Koreas in an era posreunificación, will also be part of the activities of the association, said.

The body will be chaired by Kim Tae-hoon, a judge who became a lawyer, who chaired the special committee on human rights in North Korea in the National Human Rights Commission from 2006 until last year.

About 100 people, including Lee Yong-woo a former judge of the Supreme Court, and Kim Jong-bin, former attorney general, will participate as inaugural members.
