San Francisco, March 21 (Yonhap) - The technology giant from South Korea, Samsung Electronics Co., came in second place in the global market for tablet computers in the fourth quarter of last year, based on the online edition of the American business magazine Fortune.

The share Samsung tablet computers on the world market was 15.1 percent in that period, and the market leader was the U.S. company Apple Inc., with 43.6 percent, Fortune said citing data IDC, a market researcher.

Third place was assigned to Amazon, with 11.5 percent.
