Madrid, June 28. - Yesterday was established in Madrid the Spain - Korea Chamber of Commerce. It is an important step in the history of over sixty years of fluent relations between the Republic of Korea and Spain.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Spain, has promoted the creation of the Chamber of Commerce Spain – Korea, with a relevant group of businessmen and professionals from all the sectors of the economy of our country. Its main objective is the promotion of business relations between Spain and Korea. It was created with the aim of establishing a permanent instrument for channeling Korean investments in Spain.

The presidency of the Chamber falls on Javier Cremades, President and Founder of the international law firm Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo. There are two  honorary presidents: His Excellency Mr. Oh Dae-sung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Spain and His Excellency Mr. Josep Piqué, former Minister of the Government of Spain, President and Chairman of Vueling and President of the Advisory Council of the law firm Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo.

This important step in the improvement of trade relations between the two countries has enjoyed the backing of major companies such as Banco Santander, EADS Casa, El Corte Ingles, Repsol and other large companies. Mrs. María Isabel de Luis García, in representation of Repsol has been elected as vice president. Same with Mrs. Patricia González Molina in representation of El Corte Ingles.

The General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce will be led by Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo.
