On 5 February, Ambassador Lim Soosuk held a meeting with Spanish university students who recently participated in exchange programmes in the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, there was a wide-ranging exchange of views on the reasons that led them to choose the Republic of Korea, their academic and personal experiences, and their impressions of Korean society and culture.

The number of Spanish students travelling to the Republic of Korea through exchange programmes or the working holiday programme continues to increase, rising from 660 in 2023 to 705 in 2024, and reaching approximately 770 in the last year. More and more young Spaniards are discovering and experiencing first-hand the cultural and educational opportunities that Korea has to offer.
